for women in and around Amsterdam

Outdoor pilates, 15 minutes from Amsterdam.

Small groups of women, on the grass at Sportpark Landsmeer. Real outdoor air, focused pilates and core work, classes adapted to where you are today. Your first class is free.

how it works

What to expect

A group of maximum 8 women, on individual mats on the grass at Sportpark Landsmeer. The session is 45 minutes, focused on breathing, posture, deep core stabilisation and slow, controlled strength work. No loud music, no mirrors, no rush.

You arrive 5 minutes before, roll out your mat, settle in. Ruby walks the group through the session with small adjustments per person. After class there is space for coffee on the bench if you want, or you head straight to your day. Both are fine.

The location is genuinely outdoor: dewy grass in the early morning, autumn leaves in October, birdsong, occasional rain. That is the point. It is different from indoor pilates and most people who come once want to come back.

questions

Frequently asked

  • Are classes in English?

Classes are taught in Dutch by default, but Ruby can explain in English when there are English-speaking participants. Let her know via WhatsApp before your first visit, and she will switch as needed. The pilates cues themselves are mostly visual, so following along is easy regardless of language level.

  • How do I get there from Amsterdam-Noord?

By car: 12 to 15 minutes via the Noordhollandsch Kanaalweg. By bicycle: about 25 minutes through Het Twiske. By public transport: bus line 391 or 392 from Central Station stops within walking distance. Free parking next to the entrance.

  • What should I bring?

Your own yoga or pilates mat, comfortable clothing you can move in, a water bottle, and an extra layer when it is cold. That is it.

  • How much does it cost?

First class is free. After that: 20 euros per single class, 175 euros for a 10-class card (valid one year), or 100 euros for unlimited monthly access.

  • What if it rains?

We go ahead unless conditions are genuinely unsafe. A light shower is part of the outdoor experience and usually clears within minutes. In severe weather Ruby will message participants in advance.

  • Is this suitable for beginners?

Yes. Exercises are adjusted to what each person needs that morning. Most participants started with no pilates experience. Forcing yourself through movements works against the method, so we always start small.
