why now

What many women recognise

After fifty all sorts of things change, often gradually. You might notice that you feel a little less steady, that your posture sinks a bit after a day of sitting, or that your pelvic floor asks for attention. Nothing to be alarmed by (it’s part of life), but it is the moment to do something kind for your body in return.

Pilates is a really lovely way to do that. It’s calm and builds gradually; you work on strength, posture and balance without it ever becoming hard or rushed. And it’s something you do together by its very nature, in a small group, with attention for one another.

what pilates gives you

No quick fix, but a strong foundation

Pilates is no miracle cure, and we won’t promise you that either. What it is: a calm, gradual way of moving that draws on strength, posture and balance all at once. You train your core and your pelvic floor along the way, almost without noticing, because everything works together with your breathing.

And the lovely part: everything is scalable. Exercises can be very accessible, or a touch more challenging. Because you work in a group of no more than four, Ruby adapts them straight away to whatever feels good for you that morning.

Most women already notice a difference after a few weeks, in how they stand, how they feel, how much calm they take from a class like this. Not because we promise anything special, but because regularity and attention simply work.

what we offer

Small, personal, no pressure to perform

  • No more than 4 participants per class. Ruby knows what is bothering you, your history, your goal.
  • Adapted per person. If your hip is bothering you today, you get a variation, not the whole group an easier exercise.
  • Outdoor option on dry mornings. From Landsmeer, or soon Badhoevedorp.
  • No bootcamp intensity. We don’t work with counting, pushing hard or competition. We do work with breathing, control and calm.
  • First class free. See whether it’s for you, with no obligation.
