An apparatus that guides you
The reformer is a long, low table with a sliding board (carriage) and colour-coded springs. With those springs you create resistance for strength exercises, and support for precision exercises.
It's remarkably versatile: you can work on your back, front, side, knees or seated. You can push yourself up, pull yourself up, twist, stretch. And because the springs support you, you can do exercises you'd never reach on the mat.
The reformer is more precise than the mat. It gives instant feedback: a wobble in your pelvis, an asymmetry between left and right, and you feel it straight away in how the carriage moves. That makes it an excellent teacher.

Four reformers, four women
Many reformer studios run 8 to 12 reformers per room. With us there are four. Not for lack of space. By choice.
Four participants means Ruby keeps everyone in view at all times, adjusts exercises in real time, and coaches you by name. No nod from across the room: direct guidance, the whole class long.
The lower-ground studio in Badhoevedorp will be fitted out from October onwards (that's when we move), with good daylight, mirrors and all the equipment. By the end of 2026 the four reformers will be ready.
