reformer in a private setting, women together, near Schiphol
Pilates in Badhoevedorp.
Two reformers, a maximum of two women per class. A genuinely private setting: your own machine, Ruby's full attention. A private souterrain studio with a large garden for working outdoors. From November 2026.
what makes it boutique
Small, personal, and chosen on purpose
There are other pilates studios in Badhoevedorp. Larger groups, full schedules, professional decor. For those looking for that: perfect. For something more personal, we exist.
A boutique studio means a maximum of two women per class. Ruby knows you by name, remembers what you worked on last session, and adjusts every exercise to what your body needs that morning.
No waiting for a reformer, no noise from a parallel group, no performance energy. Just breathing room, control, and time to genuinely check in with your body. Comparable to a boutique hotel next to a chain: not bigger or better, just a fundamentally different feeling.
what we offer
Reformer, in a private setting
from the opening in November 2026
Reformer-pilates, price to follow
Two reformers stand in the souterrain studio from day one, and there are never more than two women in a class. Your own machine, alongside at most one other. Because the classes are this small, we run several short classes each morning at different times. The price follows once everything is set. Join the waiting list to hear it first.

who teaches
Ruby Jansen
Ruby is the founder of Pilates x Core and a certified pilates instructor focused on strength, longevity, and feeling at home in your own body. The approach is calm, direct, no fitness clichés. For women, women together, all ages, all levels.
She speaks Dutch and English fluently. If you join with a group that includes English speakers, classes will be taught in both languages.
the setting
Women together
The classes in Badhoevedorp are for women. That follows from the setting itself: a dedicated lower-ground floor beneath our home, with its own entrance and no view in from the street. A maximum of two women per class, and a small private space where you change and leave your things safely.
The character of the classes plays a part too. We work on pelvic floor, posture and recovery, and Ruby regularly corrects with her hands. That asks for trust and a room where you feel at ease.
Women together makes that natural, and with no more than two per class it becomes more personal still. All ages, all levels, and nobody has to pretend to be further along than they are that morning.
questions
Frequently asked
Are classes in English?
Classes are taught in Dutch by default, but Ruby switches to English whenever there are English-speaking participants. Most pilates cues are visual, so following along is straightforward regardless of language level. Let Ruby know via WhatsApp before your first visit.

Badhoevedorp is 7 minutes by car from Schiphol-Rijk, 10 minutes from Hoofddorp, and 15 minutes from Amsterdam-Zuid. Public transport runs from Schiphol and Amsterdam to nearby stops. Free parking at the studio.
What makes this a boutique studio?
Boutique means deliberately small: a maximum of 2 participants per class, each on her own reformer, in a private souterrain studio where Ruby knows every participant by name. Comparable to a boutique hotel rather than a chain. Calm, intentional, and quiet, as suits a studio at home, with full attention on you.
